Schön und gut, dass FIFA11 die verbesserte erste Version der NG-Engine bekommt, nur hoffe ich, das EA aus den Fehlern dieser gelernt hat, und sie nicht nur portiert. Also für den PC umgeschrieben und angepasst hat. Zudem war das erste NG auch noch zum Vergleich der NG2 (FIFA08-10) und dem jetzigen NG3 (WM2010/FIFA11) recht steif im Gameplay. Zwar viel besser zu der CG3 des PCs aber es fehlt noch zur Konsole eins, zwei Schritte.

Ich war mir sicher, bin dennoch überrascht über diese Meldung, zudem kommt Skepsis auf, ob die Umsetzung gelingen wird.

FIFA 11 Engine Optimized For PC

The game engine has been optimized for the PC, apparently bringing console-quality gameplay, game modes and visuals to FIFA 11 PC. More details on features and modes will be released in the coming weeks.

“The EA SPORTS FIFA franchise is committed to investing and innovating for PC and this is a watershed moment,” said Executive Producer Kaz Makita. “We are delivering to FIFA 11 PC the high quality gameplay, innovative game modes and stunning graphics that have made FIFA the highest rated sports game on the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 and winner of over 50 sports game of the year awards.” The physics-based, data-driven technology behind the EA SPORTS football engine has been optimised for PC to deliver true freedom on the pitch with individuality of player control and movement, sophisticated ball touches, and physical interaction between players. FIFA 11 PC will feature the market-leading true 360° dribbling system that gives players precise control of the ball and next generation animation technology that delivers Skilled Dribbling, enabling skilled dribblers to face defenders and use highly responsive lateral dribbling to skip past them. Plus, Physical Play has been improved using collision sharing, creating a varied, less predictable, and extended fight for possession between players.

Wow, da können sich die PC-Spieler aber freuen, sieht richtig gut aus

Nochmal eine Sache, die mir aufgefallen ist: Das Spiel wird in Deutschland laut dem gleichen EA-Link erst am 30. September erscheinen, nicht also am 24.9. wie fälschlicherweise behauptet.

PS:

Genau so ist das.

"Rundum erneuerte Version" kann fast alles heißen, angefangen von einem verbesserten Gameplay, Grafik und ManagerModus, aber alles auf Grundlage der alten Engine. Es könnte natürlich auch heißen, das sich noch mehr verändert hat, wohl gemerkt, es könnte.

"dass FIFA 10 auf dem PC ein komplett neues Spiel werden wird" das kann nur eins heißen, das wir ein komplett neues Fifa für den PC bekommen, auch auf Grundlage einer neuen Engine.

So, reden wir jetzt von rundum erneuert oder komplett neuem Spiel?

PS2: Onsche, nur der erste Screen ist ein PC-Screen, die anderen nicht, sondern welche vom Creation Center, was es nur in der Konsolenversion geben wird.
