Nach langer, langer Entwicklungszeit hatten THQ und GSC Game World S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl http://www.4players.de/grafik/icon_info.gif (http://www.4players.de/4players.php/spielsysteminfo/Allgemein/2210) endlich vor zwei Jahren veröffentlicht. Mit S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky http://www.4players.de/grafik/icon_info.gif (http://www.4players.de/4players.php/spielsysteminfo/Allgemein/12136) und S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat http://www.4players.de/grafik/icon_info.gif (http://www.4players.de/4players.php/spielsysteminfo/Allgemein/254123) folgten zwei separat laufende Ableger über Deep Silver bzw. bitComposer, mit denen das Team aus Kiew das Spieluniversum später erweiterte.

Recht schmucklos kündigte GSC jetzt auf der eigenen Homepage (http://www.gsc-game.com/) an, dass man derzeit an S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 http://www.4players.de/grafik/icon_info.gif (http://www.4players.de/4players.php/spielsysteminfo/Allgemein/1987888) werkelt - die bisherigen Titel hätten sich schließlich insgesamt über vier Mio. Mal verkauft. Bildmaterial liegt nicht vor, auch mit Infos geizt der Hersteller. Der Shooter fuße auf einer "völlig neuen Multiplattform-Technologie", heißt es da - Konsolenversionen wären also zumindest theoretisch möglich.

Das Sequel soll 2012 erscheinen.

Stalker 2 - Offiziell angekündigt





Der Entwickler GSC Gameworld bestätigt die Arbeiten an Stalker 2 (http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/stalker-2/44966.html) , der Fortsetzung zu Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl (http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/stalker-shadow-of-chernobyl/35119.html) aus dem Jahr 2007. Es gab zwar in der Zwischenzeit schon das Prequel Clear Sky (http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/stalker-clear-sky/43508.html) und das allein lauffähige Addon Call of Pripyat (http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/stalker-call-of-pripyat/44965.html) , jetzt arbeitet das ukrainische Studio aber an einem echten Nachfolger, der 2012 erscheinen soll.

Nach Angaben von GSC basiert das Spiel auf einer neuen, komplett eigenentwickelten Multiplattform-Engine. Das deutet darauf hin, dass Stalker 2 - im Gegensatz zu den Vorgängern - auch für Konsolen erscheinen wird.

Sergiy Grygorovych, der Studio-Chef: »Nachdem die ganze Serie weltweit über vier Millionen Exemplare verkauft hat, gab es für uns keine Zweifel mehr daran, dass wir ein neues Spiel im Stalker-Universum machen müssen. Fans können Quests entwerfen




GSC Game World sucht die besten Quest-Ideen für S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 und hat die Community (http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=111521215540469&topic=216) aufgefordert allerlei Entwürfe einzusenden. Interessierte Spieler können bis zu fünf Quests/Szenarios entwerfen und diese den Entwicklern zukommen lassen (eMail-Adresse; siehe unten). Einsendeschluss ist der 1. März 2011 und als Belohnung winkt eine namentliche Nennung in den Credits.

GSC Game World launches a contest on the best quest idea of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-2. The contest is community-based and the entry is absolutely free for the volunteers! The quest contest is aimed to help in the development of your favorite project, so as to let you show off your creativity skills. The contest will run from now until March 1, 2011. The contest will run in two stages: at the first one the Official S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Facebook group administration selects the best entries and then passes them onto the compenet jury of:
-Ruslan Didenko, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Project Lead
-Andrey Verpakhovsky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lead Game Designer
-Oleg Yavorsky, GSC Game World PR-Director

Contest rules:
1. The contest entries must be grammatically proofread and written in English or Russian.
2. Each participant may send up to 5 contest scenarios. The scenarios should be well-thought logically and implementable. Take quests from the released games as
examples.
3. Make sure your entry is concise, not more than half A4 page of reading.
4. Make sure to mention your full name and nickname (optionally), so as your quest title at the top the page.
5. Use standard fonts, such as Times New Roman, only. Font size acceptable: 12.
6. Save your file(s) as .doc, .rtf or .txt. No other file formats are accepted.
7. All the contest entries must be emailed as attachments to the following address: contest@gsc-game.com (contest@gsc-game.com) Make sure to mention: "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-2 quest contest
entry" as the letter subject.
8. The contest jury will discard the entries which are:
- hard to read due to grammar issues or not in line with the above-mentioned rules;
- not related to the contest subject
- obviously impossible to implement

Each entry must contain:
- quest name and description;
- mission details (what happened, what needs to be done);

Contest benefits:
The names of the contest winners will be included in the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-2 credits. The best ideas from the contest may be implemented in the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. This said, the developers retain the right to change the quest looks or implementation, while preserving the key author's idea.

We wish all the participants the best kind of inspiration! Let's make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a better game together!

Also um den aktuellen Stand noch mal zu nennen:

- GSC bleibt und wird nicht geschlossen!
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (welches wohl auch weibliche Character beinhalten soll) wird 2012 released
- Der Shop wird momentan wieder aufgefüllt
- Die Buchreihen von S.T.A.L.K.E.R. werden fortgesetzt
- Der Betrieb der FB Seite wird wieder aktiver aufgenommen
- Die ersten Konzeptarts wurden schon veröffentlicht.
- Ein Video aus dem ukr. Fernsehen zeigt erste Bilder von Karte, Engine und Konzepten (Oktober)
- Über den Wettbewerb für User-eingereichte Quests für STALKER 2 ist noch nicht viel bekannt (Ich habe aber gefragt ob er fortgesetzt wird, warte auf Antwort)
